the organization's projects while learning project scheduling. |

"The Ninety-Ninety Rule of Project Schedules: The first ninety percent of the task takes ninety percent
of the time, and the last ten percent takes the other ninety percent." -- Arthur Bloch, "Murphy's Law," 1977 |
|
Overview: |
The Project Scheduling Workshop is for those who need to develop project schedules and implement them.
Schedules are a project planner's best tool for organizing tasks, time and resources. Here, even experienced schedulers will learn new capabilities and experience many old ones in a new light. The Project
Scheduling Workshop's emphasis is on schedules as working project models. It is about schedules as tools for estimating time, allocating resources, building teamwork and developing consensus. It is also about
schedules as tools for tracking time and resource utilization. An easy-to-use, step-by-step process guide participants through scheduling their own projects and they learn scheduling. Once built, schedules can
contribute greatly to project tracking, resource optimization, contingency planning and information analysis. Examples for actual projects, most of which were successful, but some of which were not, present
challenging project management problems for discussion and solutions.
